15 On the fourteenth day of the second month they killed the Passover lamb. The priests and Levites were ashamed,30:15. "Ashamed": perhaps because there had not been enough of them at the previous celebration, and that they had not take seriously the responsibility to purify themselves. Alternatively the devotion shown by those who were attending the Feast of Unleavened Bread may have prompted the priests and Levites to action. and they purified themselves and brought burnt offerings to the Lord’s Temple.
