12 For God’s word is alive and effective, sharper than any twin-edged sword, so penetrating it separates life and breath,*4:12. Greek "psuche" and "pneuma," sometimes translated "soul" and "spirit," though it is hard to understand the meaning since in common thought there is no difference between "soul" and "spirit."
