Even modern translations have trouble here, with the angel saying "Hail, favored woman" or "Greetings, O favored one," neither of which seem particularly suitable. On the other hand an angel arriving and saying "Hi" hardly fits either… "You are very privileged," he told her. "The Lord is with you."
