20 At that moment a woman who had been sick with bleeding for twelve years came up behind him and touched the hem of his cloak. 21 She had told herself, "If I can just touch his cloak, I’ll be healed."

22 Jesus turned and saw her. "Be happy, daughter, for your trust in me has healed you," he told her.*9:22. Jesus calls her "daughter," but such a form of address is not usual in modern English. The woman was immediately healed.
