6 Imperocchè ciò a che la carne pensa, ed ha l’animo, è morte; ma ciò a che lo Spirito pensa, ed ha l’animo, è vita e pace.

7 Poichè il pensiero, e l’affezion della carne è inimicizia contro a Dio; perciocchè ella non si sottomette alla legge di Dio; imperocchè non pure anche può.

8 E coloro che son nella carne non possono piacere a Dio.

6 for the mind of the flesh [is] death, and the mind of the Spirit -- life and peace;

7 because the mind of the flesh [is] enmity to God, for to the law of God it doth not subject itself,

8 for neither is it able; and those who are in the flesh are not able to please God.
