1 Set the trumpet to thy mouth. 5 Thy calf, O Samaria, hath cast thee off; mine anger is kindled against them: how long will it be ere they attain to innocency? 6 For from Israel was it also: the workman made it; therefore it is not God: but the calf of Samaria shall be broken in pieces. 7 For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: it hath no stalk: the bud shall yield no meal: if so be it yield, the strangers shall swallow it up.*8.7 stalk: or, standing corn

1 "你要把号角放在你的嘴上，

敌人如鹰一般来攻击耶和华的家；

因为他们违背了我的约，

干犯了我的律法。

2 他们必向我哀求：

‘我的　神啊！我们以色列认识你。’

3 以色列弃绝了良善，

所以仇敌必追赶他。

4 "他们立了君王，却不是出于我；

他们立了首领，我却不知道。

他们用自己的金银为自己做了偶像，

以致他们被剪除。

5 撒玛利亚啊！我要除掉你的牛犊，

我的怒气要向撒玛利亚人发作，

他们要到几时才能无罪免罚呢？

6 这牛犊是出于以色列，

是匠人所做的，它并不是神，

撒玛利亚的牛犊必被粉碎。

7 他们播种的是风，

收成的是暴风。

生出来的苗没有麦穗，

不能做成面粉；

即或做成面粉，也必被别国的人吞吃。

8 以色列被吞吃，

如今在万国中，

好象没有人喜悦的器皿。

9 他们上去投奔亚述，

像一只独行的野驴，

以法莲贿买爱人。

10 他们虽然在列国中贿买人，

我现在却要招聚他们。

他们因着君王和领袖所加的重担，

逐渐衰微。

11 以法莲增添好些祭坛去犯罪，

这些就成了他们犯罪的祭坛。

12 我虽然为他们写了律法万条，

他们却看作是为外族人写的，与他们毫无关系一般。

13 他们喜爱献祭，

献肉为祭，又拿来吃；

耶和华却不喜悦他们。

他必记得他们的罪孽，

追讨他们的罪恶；

他们必回到埃及去。

14 以色列忘记了造他的主，建造了很多宫殿；

犹大也增添了很多坚固城。

我却要降火在他的众城中，吞灭他的堡垒。"
