Psalms 42

To the chief Musician, Maschil, for the sons of Korah.

1 As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.*42.1 Maschil…: or, A Psalm giving instruction of the sons, etc*42.1 panteth: Heb. brayeth

2 My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?

3 My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say unto me, Where is thy God?

4 When I remember these things, I pour out my soul in me: for I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept holyday.

5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.*42.5 cast: Heb. bowed*42.5 praise: or, give thanks*42.5 for the…: or, his presence is salvation

6 O my God, my soul is cast down within me: therefore will I remember thee from the land of Jordan, and of the Hermonites, from the hill Mizar.*42.6 the hill…: or, the little hill

7 Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.

8 Yet the LORD will command his lovingkindness in the daytime, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life.

9 I will say unto God my rock, Why hast thou forgotten me? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?

10 As with a sword in my bones, mine enemies reproach me; while they say daily unto me, Where is thy God?*42.10 sword: or, killing

11 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

诗篇卷二

在异地渴慕朝见 神

可拉子孙的训诲诗，交给诗班长。 1 　神啊！我的心渴慕你，

好象鹿渴慕溪水。

2 我的心渴想　神，就是永活的　神；

我甚么时候可以来朝见　神的面呢？

3 人整天对我说："你的　神在哪里呢？"

我就昼夜以眼泪当饭吃。

4 我从前常常和群众同去，

与他们进到　神的殿里，

在欢呼和称谢声中，大家守节。

每逢想起这些事，我的心就感到难过。

5 我的心哪！你为甚么沮丧呢？

为甚么在我里面不安呢？

应当等候　神；

因为我还要称赞他，

他是我面前的救助、我的　神。

6 我的心在我里面沮丧；

因此我从约旦地，从黑门岭，

从米萨山，记念你。

7 你的瀑布一发声，深渊就和深渊响应；

你的洪涛和波浪都掩盖了我。

8 白天耶和华赐下他的慈爱；

夜间我要向他歌颂，

向赐我生命的　神祷告。

9 我要对　神我的盘石说：

"你为甚么忘记我呢？

我为甚么因仇敌的压迫徘徊悲哀呢？"

10 我的敌人整天对我说：

"你的　神在哪里呢？"

他们这样辱骂我的时候，

就像在击碎我的骨头。

11 我的心哪！你为甚么沮丧呢？

为甚么在我里面不安呢？

应当等候　神；

因为我还要称赞他，

他是我面前的救助、我的　神。
