Psalms 56

To the chief Musician upon Jonath-elem-rechokim, Michtam of David, when the Philistines took him in Gath.

1 Be merciful unto me, O God: for man would swallow me up; he fighting daily oppresseth me.*56.1 Michtam…: or, A golden Psalm of David

2 Mine enemies would daily swallow me up: for they be many that fight against me, O thou most High.*56.2 enemies: Heb. observers

3 What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.

4 In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.

5 Every day they wrest my words: all their thoughts are against me for evil.

6 They gather themselves together, they hide themselves, they mark my steps, when they wait for my soul.

7 Shall they escape by iniquity? in thine anger cast down the people, O God.

8 Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?

9 When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me.

10 In God will I praise his word: in the LORD will I praise his word.

11 In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.

12 Thy vows are upon me, O God: I will render praises unto thee.

13 For thou hast delivered my soul from death: wilt not thou deliver my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living?

倚靠 神必不惧怕

大卫的金诗，交给诗班长，调用"远方无声鸽"，是大卫在迦特被非利士人捉住时作的。 1 　神啊！求你恩待我，因为人要践踏我；

他们终日攻击我，迫害我。

2 我的仇敌终日践踏我，

攻击我的人很多。

3 至高者*"至高者"原文放在第2节末，在那里或译："因逞骄傲攻击我的人很多"啊！我惧怕的时候，

就要倚靠你。

4 靠着　神，我要赞美他的话；

我倚靠　神，就必不惧怕，

人能把我怎么样呢？

5 他们终日歪曲我的话，

常常设计谋陷害我。

6 他们聚集在一起，埋伏着，

窥探我的脚踪，

等候要害我的性命。

7 愿他们因罪孽的缘故不能逃脱；

神啊！愿你在怒中使这些人败落。

8 我多次流离，你都数算；

你把我的眼泪装在你的皮袋里。

这不都记在你的册子上吗？

9 我呼求你的时候，

我的仇敌就都转身退后；

因此我知道　神是帮助我的。

10 靠着　神，我要赞美他的话；

靠着耶和华，我要赞美他的话。

11 我倚靠　神，就必不惧怕，

人能把我怎么样呢？

12 　神啊！我要偿还我向你所许的愿，

我要把感谢祭献给你。

13 因为你救了我的性命脱离死亡；

你不是救了我的脚不跌倒，

使我在生命的光中，行在　神你的面前吗？
