A Leper Cleansed

40 And a leper came to him, entreating him and kneeling down, saying*Some manuscripts have "and saying" to him, "If you are willing, you are able to make me clean." 41 And becoming angry,*Some manuscripts have "having compassion" he stretched out his hand and**Here "and" is supplied because the previous participle ("stretched out") has been translated as a finite verb touched him**Here the direct object is supplied from context in the English translation, and said to him, "I am willing; be made clean." 42 And immediately the leprosy went away from him and he was made clean.
