1 Christ, then, having suffered for us in the flesh, you also arm yourselves with the same mind, because he who suffered in the flesh has finished [with] sin, 2 no longer in the desires of men, but in the will of God, to live the rest of the time in the flesh; 3 for the time has sufficiently passed to have carried out the will of the nations, having walked in licentiousness, lusts, excesses of wines, revelings, drinking-bouts, and unlawful idolatries, 4 in which they think it strange—your not running with them to the same excess of wastefulness, slandering [you]— 5 who will give an account to Him who is ready to judge [the] living and [the] dead,
