14and I hope to see you soon, and we will speak mouth to mouth. Peace to you! The friends greet you. Be greeting the friends by name.

7it bears all things, it believes all, it hopes all, it endures all.

13and now there remains faith, hope, love—these three; and the greatest of these [is] love.

7And now, what have I expected? O Lord, my hope—it [is] of You.

18-

7You see the outward appearance. If anyone has trusted in himself to be Christ’s, let him reckon this again from himself, that according as he is Christ’s, so also we [are] Christ’s;

15not boasting of the things not measured, in other men’s labors, and having hope—your faith increasing—in you to be enlarged, according to our line—into abundance,

16to proclaim good news in the [places] beyond you, not in another’s line in regard to the things made ready, to boast;

8Heights of the heavens—what [can] you do? Deeper than Sheol—what [can] you know?

16For you forget misery, || As waters passed away you remember.

18And you have trusted because there is hope, || And searched—in confidence you lie down,

18For is there a posterity? Then your hope is not cut off.

29Who has woe? Who has sorrow? Who has contentions? Who has complaint? Who has wounds without cause? Who has redness of eyes?

32Its latter end—it bites as a serpent, || And it stings as a viper.

11My days have passed by, || My plans have been broken off, || The possessions of my heart!

14To corruption I have called: You [are] my father. To the worm: My mother and my sister.

15And where [is] my hope now? Indeed, my hope, who beholds it?

2Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ!

7and our hope [is] steadfast for you, knowing that even as you are partakers of the sufferings—so also of the comfort.

10who delivered us out of so great a death, and delivers, in whom we have hoped that even yet He will deliver;

2through whom also we have the access by faith into this grace in which we have stood, and we boast on the hope of the glory of God.

4and the endurance, experience; and the experience, hope;

17for if by the offense of the one death reigned through the one, much more those who are receiving the abundance of grace and of the free gift of righteousness, in life will reign through the one—Jesus Christ.

5I hoped [for] YHWH—my soul has hoped, || And I have waited for His word.

6My soul [is] for the Lord, || More than those watching for morning, || Watching for morning!

7Israel waits on YHWH, || For kindness [is] with YHWH, || And redemption [is] abundant with Him.

2Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ!

18what then? In every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed—and I rejoice in this, indeed, and will rejoice.

20according to my earnest expectation and hope, that I will be ashamed in nothing, and in all freedom, as always, also Christ will now be magnified in my body, whether through life or through death,

5for we by the Spirit, by faith, wait for a hope of righteousness,

20idolatry, witchcraft, enmities, strife, jealousy, wraths, rivalries, dissensions, sects,

22And the fruit of the Spirit is: love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith,

8O Hope of Israel—its Savior in time of trouble, || Why are You as a sojourner in the land? And as a traveler turned aside to lodge?

21Do not despise, for Your Name’s sake, || Do not dishonor the throne of Your glory, || Remember, do not break Your covenant with us.

22Are there any among the vanities of the nations causing rain? And do the heavens give showers? Are You not He, O our God YHWH? And we wait for you, for You have done all these!

17And it will be in the last days, says God, || I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh, || And your sons and your daughters will prophesy, || And your young men will see visions, || And your old men will dream dreams;

19And I will give wonders in the sky above, || And signs on the earth beneath—Blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke,

26Because of this was my heart cheered, || And my tongue was glad, || And yet—my flesh will also rest on hope,

1I call on you, therefore, brothers, through the compassions of God, to present your bodies [as] a sacrifice—living, sanctified, acceptable to God—your intelligent service;

2and do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, for your proving what [is] the will of God—the good, and acceptable, and perfect.

12in the hope rejoicing; in the tribulation enduring; in the prayer persevering;

3Whoever is keeping his mouth, is keeping his soul, || Whoever is opening wide his lips—ruin to him!

12Hope prolonged is making the heart sick, || And a tree of life [is] the coming desire.

17A wicked messenger falls into evil, || And a faithful ambassador is healing.

21This I turn to my heart—therefore I hope.

22The kindnesses of YHWH! For we have not been consumed, || For His mercies have not ended.

29He puts his mouth in the dust, if so be, there is hope.

13I have strength for all things, in Christ’s strengthening me;

20and to God, even our Father, [is] the glory through the ages of the ages. Amen.

23The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [is] with you all! Amen.

23may we hold fast the unwavering profession of the hope (for He who promised [is] faithful),

26For [if] we are sinning willingly after receiving the full knowledge of the truth—there remains no more sacrifice for sins,

27but a certain fearful looking for of judgment, and fiery zeal, about to devour the opposers;
