John 1

45 Philip finds Nathanael and says to him, "Him of whom Moses wrote in the Law, and the Prophets, we have found, Jesus the Son of Joseph, who [is] from Nazareth!" 46 And Nathanael said to him, "Is any good thing able to be out of Nazareth?" Philip said to him, "Come and see." 47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming to Him, and He says concerning him, "Behold, truly an Israelite, in whom is no guile"; 48 Nathanael says to Him, "From where do You know me?" Jesus answered and said to him, "Before Philip’s calling you, being under the fig tree, I saw you." 49 Nathanael answered and says to Him, "Rabbi, You are the Son of God, You are the King of Israel." 50 Jesus answered and said to him, "Because I said to you, I saw you under the fig tree, you believe; you will see greater things than these"; 51 and He says to him, "Truly, truly, I say to you, from now on you will see Heaven opened, and the messengers of God going up and coming down on the Son of Man."
