13 C'est pourquoi je leur parle par des similitudes, à cause qu'en voyant ils ne voient point, et qu'en entendant ils n'entendent point, et ne comprennent point.

14 Et [ainsi] s'accomplit en eux la prophétie d'Esaïe, qui dit : en entendant vous ne comprendrez point; et en voyant vous verrez, et vous n'apercevrez point.

15 Car le cœur de ce peuple est engraissé, et ils ont ouï dur de leurs oreilles, et ont cligné de leurs yeux; de peur qu'ils ne voient des yeux, et qu'ils n'entendent des oreilles, et qu'ils ne comprennent du cœur, et ne se convertissent, et que je ne les guérisse.

13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. 14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: 15 For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
