31 Porém os homens que tinham ido com ele disseram:
— Não podemos atacar aquele povo, porque é mais forte do que nós.
32 E, diante dos filhos de Israel, falaram mal da terra que haviam espiado, dizendo:
— A terra pela qual passamos para espiar é terra que devora os seus moradores; e todo o povo que vimos nela são homens de grande estatura. 33 Também vimos ali gigantes (os filhos de Anaque são descendentes de gigantes), e éramos, aos nossos próprios olhos, como gafanhotos e assim também éramos aos olhos deles.
31 But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.
32 And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched to the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eats up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature.
33 And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.
