God Set Eternity in the Heart of Mankind
11 He has made everything appropriate in its time. He has also set eternity in their heart, without the possibility that mankind will find out the work which God has done from the beginning even to the end.
11 He has made everything appropriate in its time. He has also set eternity in their heart, without the possibility that mankind will find out the work which God has done from the beginning even to the end.
11 He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.
11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet3:11 Or also placed ignorance in the human heart, so that no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.
11 He has [Gen. 1:31] made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man’s heart, yet so that he cannot ch. 8:17;[Job 5:9;Rom. 11:33]find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.
11 Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.
11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that Job 5:9; Eccl. 7:23; 8:17; Rom. 11:33no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.
11 He has made everything appropriate 3:11 Or beautiful in its time. 3:11 Gn 1:31 He has also put eternity in their hearts, 3:11 Or has put a sense of past and future into their minds, or has placed ignorance in their hearts but no one can discover the work God has done from beginning to end. 3:11 Jb 5:9; Ec 7:23; 8:17; Rm 11:33
11 He hath made all things good in their time, and hath delivered the world to their consideration, so that man cannot find out the work which God hath made from the beginning to the end.
9-13 But in the end, does it really make a difference what anyone does? I’ve had a good look at what God has given us to do—busywork, mostly. True, God made everything beautiful in itself and in its time—but he’s left us in the dark, so we can never know what God is up to, whether he’s coming or going. I’ve decided that there’s nothing better to do than go ahead and have a good time and get the most we can out of life. That’s it—eat, drink, and make the most of your job. It’s God’s gift.
