1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.1.31 And the evening…: Heb. And the evening was, and the morning was etc.
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
31 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.
1 In the Job 38:4-7;Ps. 33:6;136:5;Isa. 42:5;45:18;John 1:1-3;Acts 14:15;17:24;Col. 1:16,17;Heb. 1:10;11:3;Rev. 4:11beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was Jer. 4:23without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
31 Eccles. 7:29;1 Tim. 4:4And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.1:1 Or In the beginning when God created the heavens and the earth, . . . Or When God began to create the heavens and the earth, . . .2 The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters.
31 Then God looked over all he had made, and he saw that it was very good!
And evening passed and morning came, marking the sixth day.
1 In the Ps. 102:25; Is. 40:21; (John 1:1–3; Heb. 1:10)beginning Gen. 2:4; (Ps. 8:3; 89:11; 90:2); Is. 44:24; Acts 17:24; Rom. 1:20; (Heb. 1:2; 11:3); Rev. 4:11God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was Jer. 4:23without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. (Gen. 6:3); Job 26:13; Ps. 33:6; 104:30; Is. 40:13, 14And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
31 Then (Ps. 104:24; 1 Tim. 4:4)God saw everything that He had made, and indeed itwas very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
1 In the beginning 1:1 Ps 90:2; 102:12; Is 40:21; Jn 1:1–3; Eph 3:21 God created the heavens and the earth. 1:1 Or created the universe, 1:1 Neh 9:6; Is 40:12–14; 43:7; Jr 10:12–16; Am 4:13; Rm 1:25; 1Co 11:9; Col 1:16; Rv 4:11
2 Now the earth was formless and empty, 1:2 Jr 4:23 darkness covered the surface of the watery depths, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters. 1:2 Jb 26:13; 33:4; Ps 33:6; 104:30
31 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good indeed. 1:31 1Tm 4:4 Evening came and then morning: the sixth day.
1 In the beginning God created heaven, and earth. 2 And the earth was void and empty, and darkness was upon the face of the deep; and the spirit of God moved over the waters. 31 And God saw all the things that he had made, and they were very good. And the evening and morning were the sixth day.
1,2 First this: God created the Heavens and Earth—all you see, all you don’t see. Earth was a soup of nothingness, a bottomless emptiness, an inky blackness. God’s Spirit brooded like a bird above the watery abyss.
31 God looked over everything he had made;
it was so good, so very good!
It was evening, it was morning—
Day Six.
