15 Then she said to him, "How can you say, ‘I love you,’ when your heart is not with me? You have toyed with me these three times and have not told me where your great strength is." 16 And it came about, when she pressed him daily with her words and urged him, that his soul was 16:16 Lit impatient to the point ofannoyed to death.
15 And she said unto him, How canst thou say, I love thee, when thine heart is not with me? thou hast mocked me these three times, and hast not told me wherein thy great strength lieth. 16 And it came to pass, when she pressed him daily with her words, and urged him, so that his soul was vexed unto death;16.16 vexed: Heb. shortened
15 Then she said to him, "How can you say, ‘I love you,’ when you won’t confide in me? This is the third time you have made a fool of me and haven’t told me the secret of your great strength." 16 With such nagging she prodded him day after day until he was sick to death of it.
15 And she said to him, ch. 14:16"How can you say, ‘I love you,’ when your heart is not with me? You have mocked me these three times, and you have not told me where your great strength lies." 16 And [ch. 14:17]when she pressed him hard with her words day after day, and urged him, his soul was vexed to death.
15 Then Delilah pouted, "How can you tell me, ‘I love you,’ when you don’t share your secrets with me? You’ve made fun of me three times now, and you still haven’t told me what makes you so strong!" 16 She tormented him with her nagging day after day until he was sick to death of it.

16 Because she nagged him day after day and pleaded with him until she wore him out, 16:16 Lit him and he became short to death
15 And Dalila said to him: How dost thou say thou lovest me, when thy mind is not with me? Thou hast told me lies these three times, and wouldst not tell me wherein thy great strength lieth. 16 And when she pressed him much, and continually hung upon him for many days, giving him no time to rest, his soul fainted away, and was wearied even until death.
15 She said, "How can you say ‘I love you’ when you won’t even trust me? Three times now you’ve toyed with me, like a cat with a mouse, refusing to tell me the secret of your great strength."
16,17 She kept at it day after day, nagging and tormenting him. Finally, he was fed up—he couldn’t take another minute of it. He spilled it.
He told her, "A razor has never touched my head. I’ve been God’s Nazirite from conception. If I were shaved, my strength would leave me; I would be as helpless as any other mortal."
