3 For *1 Cor. 11:2, 23I delivered to you first of all that *(Gal. 1:12)which I also received: that Christ died for our sins *Ps. 22:15; Is. 53:5–12; Acts 3:18; 1 Pet. 1:11according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day *Gen. 1:9–13; 2 Kin. 20:8; Ps. 16:9–11; 68:18; 110:1; Is. 53:10; Hos. 6:2; Jon. 1:17; 2:10; Matt. 12:39, 40; Mark 8:31; Luke 11:29, 30; 24:26; John 2:19–21; Acts 2:25according to the Scriptures, 5 *Luke 24:34and that He was seen by Cephas, then *Matt. 28:17by the twelve. 6 After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep.
