16that the waters which came down from upstream stood still, and rose in a heap very far away at Adam, the city that is beside 1 Kin. 4:12; 7:46Zaretan. So the waters that went down Deut. 3:17into the Sea of the Arabah, Gen. 14:3; Num. 34:3the Salt Sea, failed, and were cut off; and the people crossed over opposite Jericho.
14So the men answered her, "Our lives for yours, if none of you tell this business of ours. And it shall be, when the Lord has given us the land, that Gen. 47:29; Judg. 1:24; (Matt. 5:7)we will deal kindly and truly with you."
18Josh. 2:12unless, when we come into the land, you bind this line of scarlet cord in the window through which you let us down, Josh. 6:23and unless you bring your father, your mother, your brothers, and all your father’s household to your own home.
