21 Moreover you shall select from all the people *Ex. 18:24, 25; Deut. 1:13, 15; 2 Chr. 19:5–10; Ps. 15:1–5; Acts 6:3able men, such as *Gen. 42:18; 2 Sam. 23:3fear God, *Ezek. 18:8men of truth, *Deut. 16:19hating covetousness; and place such over them tobe rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens. 22 And let them judge the people at all times. *Lev. 24:11; Deut. 1:17Then it will be that every great matter they shall bring to you, but every small matter they themselves shall judge. So it will be easier for you, for *Num. 11:17they will bear theburden with you.
