Isaías 53

5 But He was*(Is. 53:10; Rom. 4:25; 1 Cor. 15:3, 4)wounded for our transgressions,

Hewas bruised for our iniquities;

The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,

And by His *(1 Pet. 2:24, 25)stripes we are healed.

6 All we like sheep have gone astray;

We have turned, every one, to his own way;

And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.

7 He was oppressed and He was afflicted,

Yet *Matt. 26:63; 27:12–14; Mark 14:61; 15:5; Luke 23:9; John 19:9He opened not His mouth;

*Acts 8:32, 33; Rev. 5:6He was led as a lamb to the slaughter,

And as a sheep before its shearers is silent,

So He opened not His mouth.
