Praise to God in His Holiness and Majesty

A Psalm of David.

1 Give *1 Chr. 16:28, 29unto the Lord, O you mighty ones,

Give unto the Lord glory and strength.

2 Give unto the Lord the glory due to His name;

Worship the Lord in *2 Chr. 20:21; Ps. 110:3the beauty of holiness.

3 The voice of the Lordis over the waters;

The Lordis over many waters.

4 The voice of the Lordis powerful;

The voice of the Lordis full of majesty.

5 The voice of the Lord breaks *Judg. 9:15; 1 Kin. 5:6; Ps. 104:16; Is. 2:13; 14:8the cedars,

Yes, the Lord splinters the cedars of Lebanon.

6 *Ps. 114:4He makes them also skip like a calf,

Lebanon and *Deut. 3:9Sirion like a young wild ox.

7 The voice of the Lord divides the flames of fire.

8 The voice of the Lord shakes the wilderness;

The Lord shakes the Wilderness of *Num. 13:26Kadesh.

9 The voice of the Lord makes the *Job 39:1deer give birth,

And strips the forests bare;

And in His temple everyone says, "Glory!"

10 The *Gen. 6:17; Job 38:8, 25Lord sat enthroned at the Flood,

And *Ps. 10:16the Lord sits as King forever.
