God the Refuge of His People and Conqueror of the Nations

1 God is our *Ps. 62:7, 8refuge and strength,

*(Deut. 4:7; Ps. 145:18)A very present help in trouble.

2 Therefore we will not fear,

Even though the earth be removed,

And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;

3 *(Ps. 93:3, 4)Though its waters roar and be troubled,

Though the mountains shake with its swelling.

4 Thereis a *(Ezek. 47:1–12)river whose streams shall make glad the *Ps. 48:1, 8; Is. 60:14city of God,

The holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High.

5 God is*(Deut. 23:14; Is. 12:6); Ezek. 43:7; Hos. 11:9; (Joel 2:27; Zeph. 3:15; Zech. 2:5, 10, 11; 8:3)in the midst of her, she shall not be moved;

God shall help her, just at the break of dawn.
