7 If you2f endure chastening, God-The Father deals with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chastens not?
8 But if you2f be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are you2f bastards, and not sons.
7 If you2f endure chastening, God-The Father deals with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chastens not?
8 But if you2f be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are you2f bastards, and not sons.
7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? 8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
7 Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children. For what children are not disciplined by their father? 8 If you are not disciplined—and everyone undergoes discipline—then you are not legitimate, not true sons and daughters at all.
7 It is for discipline that you have to endure. Deut. 8:5;2 Sam. 7:14;[Prov. 13:24;19:18;23:13]God is treating you as sons. For what son is there whom his father does not discipline? 8 If you are left without discipline, [1 Pet. 5:9]in which all have participated, then you are illegitimate children and not sons.
7 As you endure this divine discipline, remember that God is treating you as his own children. Who ever heard of a child who is never disciplined by its father? 8 If God doesn’t discipline you as he does all of his children, it means that you are illegitimate and are not really his children at all.
7 Deut. 8:5; 2 Sam. 7:14If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what Prov. 13:24; 19:18; 23:13son is there whom a father does not chasten? 8 But if you are without chastening, 1 Pet. 5:9of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons.
7 It is for discipline that you endure; God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom his father does not discipline? 8 But if you are without discipline, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate children and not sons.
7 Endure suffering as discipline: God is dealing with you as sons. For what son is there that a father does not discipline? 8 But if you are without discipline — which all receive 12:8 Lit discipline, of which all have become participants — then you are illegitimate children and not sons. 12:7–8 Dt 8:5; 1Pt 5:9
7 Persevere under discipline. God dealeth with you as with his sons; for what son is there, whom the father doth not correct? 8 But if you be without chastisement, whereof all are made partakers, then are you bastards, and not sons.
