20 And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.
28 And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him.
31 And he said unto him, Son, youi are ever with me, and all that I have is yoursi.
32 It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this youri brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.

20 So he got up and went to his father.
"But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.
28 "The older brother became angry and refused to go in. So his father went out and pleaded with him.
31 " ‘My son,’ the father said, ‘you are always with me, and everything I have is yours.32 But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ "
20 And he arose and came to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion, and [James 4:8] ran and Gen. 33:4;Acts 20:37embraced him and 2 Sam. 14:33kissed him.
28 But he was angry and refused to go in. His father came out and entreated him,31 And he said to him, ‘Son, John 8:35you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours.32 It was fitting [See ver. 29above] to celebrate and be glad, for this your brother ver. 24was dead, and is alive; he was lost, and is found.’"
20 "So he returned home to his father. And while he was still a long way off, his father saw him coming. Filled with love and compassion, he ran to his son, embraced him, and kissed him.
28 "The older brother was angry and wouldn’t go in. His father came out and begged him,
31 "His father said to him, ‘Look, dear son, you have always stayed by me, and everything I have is yours.32 We had to celebrate this happy day. For your brother was dead and has come back to life! He was lost, but now he is found!’"
