13 Let no man say when he is tried or tested, I am tried or tested of God-The Father: for God-The Father cannot be tried or tested with evil, neither tempts he any man:
14 But every man is tried or tested, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
15 Then when lust has conceived, it brings forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, brings forth death.
13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: 14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. 15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
13 When tempted, no one should say, "God is tempting me." For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; 14 but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. 15 Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.
13 Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am being tempted by God," for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one. 14 But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. 15 Then desire Job 15:35;Ps. 7:14;Isa. 59:4when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and Rom. 5:12;6:23sin when it is fully grown brings forth death.
13 And remember, when you are being tempted, do not say, "God is tempting me." God is never tempted to do wrong,1:13 Or God should not be put to a test by evil people. and he never tempts anyone else. 14 Temptation comes from our own desires, which entice us and drag us away. 15 These desires give birth to sinful actions. And when sin is allowed to grow, it gives birth to death.
