21 Marta disse a Jesus: "Se o Senhor estivesse aqui, meu irmão não teria morrido. 22 Mas sei que, mesmo agora, Deus lhe dará tudo que pedir".

23 Jesus lhe disse: "Seu irmão vai ressuscitar".

24 "Sim", respondeu Marta. "Ele vai ressuscitar quando todos ressuscitarem, no último dia."

25 Então Jesus disse: "Eu sou a ressurreição e a vida. Quem crê em mim viverá, mesmo depois de morrer. 26 Quem vive e crê em mim jamais morrerá. Você crê nisso, Marta?".

27 "Sim, Senhor", respondeu ela. "Eu creio que o senhor é o Cristo, o Filho de Deus, aquele que veio ao mundo da parte de Deus."

21 Martha therefore said to Jesus, Lord, if thou were here, my brother would not have died.

22 But I know even now that as many things as thou may ask of God, God will give to thee.

23 Jesus says to her, Thy brother will rise.

24 Martha says to him, I know that he will rise in the resurrection at the last day.

25 Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me, even though he died, he will live.

26 And every man who lives and believes in me will, no, not die, into the age. Do thou believe this?

27 She says to him, Yes, Lord, I have believed that thou are the Christ, the Son of God who comes into the world.
