4The first was like a lion, and had eagle’s wings; I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked off, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon two feet as a man, and a man’s heart was given to it.

16I came near unto one of them that stood by, and asked him the truth concerning all this. So he told me, and made me know the interpretation of the things:

6Who can stand before His indignation? And who can abide in the fierceness of His anger? His fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are broken asunder before Him.

11Wilt thou trust him, because his strength is great? Or wilt thou leave thy labour to him?

13The wing of the ostrich beateth joyously; but are her pinions and feathers the kindly stork’s?

26My son, give me thy heart, and let thine eyes observe my ways.

28She also lieth in wait as a robber, and increaseth the faithless among men.

35'They have struck me, and I felt it not, they have beaten me, and I knew it not; when shall I awake? I will seek it yet again.'

26This is the interpretation of the thing: MENE, God hath numbered thy kingdom, and brought it to an end.
