1 Every word I command you, that shall you observe to perform; you shall not add to it nor diminish from it.

2 If there shall arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and he give a sign or a wonder, 3 and the sign or wonder cometh to pass, (yet,) should he speak with thee, saying, Let us go after the gods of the Gentiles whom thou hast not known, and let us worship them; 4 Thou shalt not hearken to the words of that prophet or dreamer of dreams; for the Lord your God is proving you, to know whether you will love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
