O Papel da Mulher

7 In the same way, you husbands must live with your wives wisely, since woman's sex is weaker, but you must give them honor as fellow heirs of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered.

9 Also that the women adorn themselves in becoming dress modestly and discreetly, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothes,

11 Women, in the same way, must be dignified, not slanderers, temperate, trustworthy in everything.

1 IN the same way you wives are to be submissive to your own husbands, so that if any disbelieve the message they may be won over by the lives of their wives without argument,

2 when they look at your pure, reverential behavior.

3 Your adornment must not be of the external kind \'97 braiding the hair and putting on gold and wearing fine dresses;

4 but the hidden personality of the heart must wear the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is in God's sight most precious.

5 For so of old the holy women who hoped in God adorned themselves. They were submissive to their own husbands,

6 as Sarah obeyed Abraham and called him Master. You have become her children when you do well and feel no terror.

22 wives to their own husbands as in the Lord,

23 because a man is the head of his wife as Christ is the head of the church and he is the savior of the body.

24 But as the church is subject to Christ, so wives are to their husbands in everything.

3 Tell the older women, in the same way, to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not enslaved to much wine, teachers of what is noble,

4 that they may train the young women to be loving wives and loving mothers,

5 self-controlled, pure, home-workers, kind, submissive to their own husbands, that God's message may not be slandered.

11 Yet neither is woman without man nor man without woman in the Lord.

12 For as woman is from man so is man through woman, but all things from God.
