4 But you, brothers, are not in darkness so that this day should catch you like *5:4 a thief ¦ thieves WHa thief. 5 *5:5 You ¦ For you CTYou are all sons of light and sons of the day; we are not of the night or of the darkness. 6 So then let us not sleep, as others do, but let us be watchful and sober. 7 For those who sleep, sleep at night; and those who get drunk, get drunk at night. 8 But since *5:8 we ¦ you ANTwe are of the day, let us be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and the hope of salvation as a helmet. 9 For God has not appointed us to suffer wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,
