45 Philip then found Nathanael and said to him, "We have found him of whom Moses wrote in the law, and of whom the prophets also wrote—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph." 46 Nathanael said to him, "Can anything good come from Nazareth?" Philip said to him, "Come and see." 47 When Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward him, he said of him, "Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom there is no deceit." 48 Nathanael said to him, "How do yoʋ know me?" Jesus answered him, "Before Philip called yoʋ, when yoʋ were under the fig tree, I saw yoʋ." 49 Nathanael answered him, "Rabbi, yoʋ are the Son of God! Yoʋ are the king of Israel!" 50 Jesus answered him, "Do yoʋ believe because I *1:50 said to yoʋ, ‘I saw yoʋ under the fig tree’? ¦ told yoʋ that I saw yoʋ under the fig tree? CTsaid to yoʋ, ‘I saw yoʋ under the fig tree’? Yoʋ will see greater things than these." 51 Then he said to him, "Truly, truly, I say to you, *1:51 before long 95.9% ¦ --- CT 0.7%before long you will see heaven opened and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man."
