28 After saying these things, Jesus continued on his way up to Jerusalem, walking ahead of his disciples. 29 As he drew near to 19:29 Bethsphage 𝔐pt ¦ Bethphage 𝔐pt CT TRBethsphage and Bethany, at the mount called Olivet, he sent two of 19:29 his ¦ the CThis disciples ahead, 30 saying, "Go into the village ahead of you. As you enter it, you will find a colt tied, on which no one has ever sat. Untie it and bring it here. 31 If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ 19:31 tell him ¦ say CTtell him this: ‘The Lord has need of it.’ " 32 So those who were sent went off and found 19:32 it ¦ the colt standing there, ANTit just as he had told them. 33 As they were untying the colt, its owners said to them, "Why are you untying the colt?" 34 They said, "The Lord has need of it." 35 Then they brought the colt to Jesus, threw their garments over it, and set Jesus on it. 36 As he went along, people were spreading their garments on the road. 37 And as he drew near to the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to praise God joyfully with a loud voice for all the miracles they had seen, 38 saying,
"Blessed is the king
who comes in the name of the Lord!
Peace in heaven,
and glory in the highest!"
39 But some of the Pharisees from among the crowd said to Jesus, "Teacher, rebuke yoʋr disciples." 40 In response he said 19:40 to them ¦ --- CTto them, "I tell you, if they keep silent, the stones will cry out."
