3 He answered them, "And why do you break the commandment of God for the sake of your tradition? 4 For God *15:4 commanded ¦ said CTcommanded, ‘Honor yoʋr father and yoʋr mother,’ and, ‘Whoever speaks evil of his father or mother must surely die.’ 5 But you say, ‘If anyone says to his father or mother, "Whatever benefit yoʋ might have received from me is now a gift devoted to God," *15:5 then ¦ --- CTthen he certainly need not honor his father *15:5 or his mother ¦ --- CTor his mother.’ 6 You have nullified the *15:6 commandment 98.2% ¦ word CT 0.5%commandment of God for the sake of your tradition.
