12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal bodies so that you obey it in the body’s sinful desires. 13 And do not present your members to sin as instruments of unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as alive from the dead, and present your members to God as instruments of righteousness. 14 For sin will have no dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.
15 What then? Should we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not! 16 Do you not know that when you present yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness? 17 But thanks be to God that, though you were slaves of sin, you have become obedient from the heart to the pattern of teaching to which you were entrusted, 18 and having been set free from sin, you have become slaves to righteousness.
