Boasting About Tomorrow

13 Come now, you who say, "Today *4:13 and ¦ or CT SCRand tomorrow *4:13 let us ¦ we will ANT CT SCRlet us go to such and such a city, spend a year there, trade, and make a profit." 14 You do not know *4:14 what will happen ¦ about WHwhat will happen tomorrow. What is *4:14 your ¦ our PCKyour life? *4:14 It is ¦ You are CT {Note: The main Greek text literally reads It will be.}It is a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away. 15 Instead you ought to say, "If the Lord wills, *4:15 let us ¦ we will ANT CT SCRlet us live and do this or that." 16 But as it is, you boast in your arrogant schemes; all such boasting is evil. 17 So whoever knows the right thing to do and does not do it, for him it is sin.
