13 Da sprach Elia zu ihr: Fürchte dich nicht! Gehe hinein, und mache es, wie du gesagt hast; doch mache mir zuerst einen kleinen Kuchen davon, und bringe mir ihn heraus; dir aber und deinem Sohne mache darnach!

14 Denn also spricht Jehova, der Gott Israels: Der Mehlkasten soll nicht leer werden, und dem Oelkruge soll nichts mangeln, bis auf den Tag, da Jehova wird Regen geben auf die Oberfläche der Erde.

13 And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said; but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it forth unto me, and afterward make for thee and for thy son. 14 For thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel, The jar of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that Jehovah sendeth rain upon the earth.
