25 Deswegen sage ich euch: Seid nicht ängstlich bekümmert um euer Leben, was ihr essen werdet;und was ihr trinken werdet, setzt das Griechische zu oder um Kleidung für euern Leib, was ihr anziehen werdet! Hat nicht das Leben mehr Wert, als die Nahrung, und der Leib mehr Wert als die Kleidung?

26 Sehet auf die Vögel in der Luft! Sie säen nicht, ernten nicht, sammeln nicht in die Vorratshäuser; und euer himmlischer Vater ernährt sie! Seid ihr nicht vielmehr, als sie?

27 Wer aber unter euch vermag mit seinen Sorgen seiner LeibesgrößeLebenslange, nach dem Griechischen Eine Elle zuzusetzen?

28 Und warum bekümmert ihr euch ängstlich um Kleidung? Sehet, wie die Feldlilien wachsen! Sie arbeiten nicht, sie spinnen nicht;

29 und doch sage ich euch: Nicht einmal Salomon in seiner ganzen Pracht war wie eine von diesen gekleidet.

30 Wenn nun Gott Feldblumen, die heute blühen, und morgen in den Ofen geworfen werden, so kleidet, sollete er nicht vielmehr euch kleiden? ihr Kleingläubigen!

31 Darum sollet ihr nicht ängstlich sorgen und sagen: Was werden wir essen? was werden wir trinken? womit wollen wir uns bekleiden?

32 Alle diese Sorgen machen sich die Heiden; denn euer Vaterim Himmel, setzt der griechische Text zu weiß, daß ihr das alles bedürfet.

33 Trachtet also zuerst nach dem Reiche Gottes und nach dessen Gerechtigkeit; so wird jenes Alles euch als Zugabe werden!

34 Darum sorget nicht ängstlich für den folgenden Tag; der folgende Tag wird schon für sich seine Sorge haben. Genug, daß jeder Tag seine eigene Plage hat.

25 Therefore I say unto you, Be not anxious for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than the food, and the body than the raiment? 26 Behold the birds of the heaven, that they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; and your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are not ye of much more value than they? 27 And which of you by being anxious can add one cubit unto the measure of his life? 28 And why are ye anxious concerning raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: 29 yet I say unto you, that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 But if God doth so clothe the grass of the field, which to-day is, and to-morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? 31 Be not therefore anxious, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32 For after all these things do the Gentiles seek; for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33 But seek ye first his kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 34 Be not therefore anxious for the morrow: for the morrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
