20 Enquanto assim pensava, eis que um anjo do Senhor lhe apareceu em sonhos e lhe disse: José, filho de Davi, não temas receber Maria por esposa, pois o que nela foi concebido vem do Espírito Santo.

21 Ela dará à luz um filho, a quem porás o nome de Jesus, porque ele salvará o seu povo de seus pecados.

20 And on his thinking of these things, lo, a messenger of the Lord in a dream appeared to him, saying, Joseph, son of David, thou mayest not fear to receive Mary thy wife, for that which in her was begotten [is] of the Holy Spirit,

21 and she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus, for he shall save his people from their sins.
