13 Der Engel meinte aber gleich zu ihm: „Hallo Zacharias! Bleib locker, Gott hat auf dich und deine Gebete gehört. Deine Frau, die Elisabeth, die wird für dich noch einen Sohn kriegen, und der soll dann Johannes heißen.

14 Dieser Sohn wird dich total glücklich machen, und nicht nur dich, auch viele andere Menschen!

15 Gott hat was mit ihm vor. Er wird radikal mit Gott leben, keine Drogen oder Alk zu sich nehmen. Dafür wird er schon vor seiner Geburt abgefüllt sein mit einer ganz besonderen Kraft von Gott, nämlich mit seinem Geist.

13 But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: because thy supplication is heard, and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John. 14 And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth. 15 For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and he shall drink no wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother’s womb.
