6 Therefore we be hardy always, and know that the while we be in this body, we go in pilgrimage from the Lord;
7 for we walk by faith, and not by clear sight.
8 But we be hardy, and have good will, more to be in pilgrimage from the body, and to be present to God.
9 And therefore we strive, whether absent, whether present, to please him.
6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: 7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) 8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. 9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.
6 Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord. 7 For we live by faith, not by sight. 8 We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord. 9 So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it.
6 So we are always of good courage. We know that [Heb. 11:13,14]while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, 7 for [John 20:29]; See ch. 4:18we walk by faith, not 1 Cor. 13:12by sight. 8 Yes, we are of good courage, and we [Phil. 1:23]would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord. 9 So whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to [Col. 1:10;1 Thess. 4:1]please him.
6 So we are always confident, even though we know that as long as we live in these bodies we are not at home with the Lord. 7 For we live by believing and not by seeing. 8 Yes, we are fully confident, and we would rather be away from these earthly bodies, for then we will be at home with the Lord. 9 So whether we are here in this body or away from this body, our goal is to please him.
6 So weare always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. 7 For Rom. 8:24; Heb. 11:1we walk by faith, not by sight. 8 We are confident, yes, Phil. 1:23well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.
9 Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him.
6 Therefore, being always of good courage, and knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord— 7 for we walk by faith, not by 5:7 Or appearancesight— 8 but we are of good courage and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord. 9 Therefore we also have as our ambition, whether at home or absent, to be pleasing to Him.
6 So we are always confident and know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord. 7 For we walk by faith, 5:7 Mt 8:10; Ac 3:16; Rm 1:8; 1Co 2:5; Gl 2:16; 1Tm 1:2; Heb 4:2 not by sight. 5:7 Lk 3:228 In fact, we are confident, and we would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord. 5:8 Php 1:239 Therefore, whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to be pleasing 5:9 Heb 13:21 to him.
6 Therefore having always confidence, knowing that, while we are in the body, we are absent from the Lord. 7 (For we walk by faith, and not by sight.) 8 But we are confident, and have a good will to be absent rather from the body, and to be present with the Lord. 9 And therefore we labour, whether absent or present, to please him.
