1 And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there:2 and Jesus also was invited, and his disciples, to the marriage.3 And when the wine failed, the mother of Jesus says to him, They have no wine.4 And Jesus says to her, Woman, what have I to do with you? My hour is not yet come.5 His mother says to the servants, Whatever he says to you{}, do it.6 Now there were six waterpots of stone set there after the Jews' manner of purifying, containing about twenty or thirty gallons each.7 Jesus says to them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim.8 And he says to them, Draw out now, and bear to the ruler of the feast. And they bore it.9 And when the ruler of the feast tasted the water now become wine, and didn't know from where it was (but the servants that had drawn the water knew), the ruler of the feast calls the bridegroom,10 and says to him, Every man sets on first the good wine; and when [men] have drank freely, [then] that which is worse: you have kept the good wine until now.11 This beginning of his signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested his glory; and his disciples believed on him.

1 And as he passed by, he saw a man blind from his birth.2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Rabbi, who sinned, this man, or his parents, that he should be born blind?3 Jesus answered, Neither did this man sin, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.4 We must work the works of him who sent me while it is day: the night comes, when no man can work.5 When I am in the world, I am the light of the world.6 When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and anointed his eyes with the clay,7 and said to him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam (which is by interpretation, Sent). He went away therefore, and washed, and came seeing.8 The neighbors therefore, and those who saw him previously, that he was a beggar, said, Isn't this he who sat and begged?9 Others said, It is he: others said, No, but he is like him. He said, I am [he].10 They said therefore to him, How then were your eyes opened?11 He answered, The man who is called Jesus made clay, and anointed my eyes, and said to me, Go to Siloam, and wash: so I went away and washed, and I received sight.12 And they said to him, Where is he? He says, I don't know.

13 Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon which were done in you{}, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.14 But I say to you{}, it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the day of judgment than for you{}.15 And you, Capernaum, will you be exalted to heaven? You will go down to Hades.16 And the seventy-two returned with joy, saying, Lord, even the demons are subject to us in your name.17 And he said to them, I watched Satan fallen as lightning from heaven.18 Look, I have given you{} authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing will in any wise hurt you{}.19 Nevertheless don't rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you{}; but rejoice that your{} names are written in heaven.20 In that same hour he rejoiced in the Holy Spirit, and said,21 I thank you, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you hid these things from the wise and understanding, and revealed them to juveniles:

35 And on that day, when evening came, he says to them, Let us go over to the other side.36 And leaving the multitude, they take him with them, even as he was, in the boat. And other boats were with him.37 And there rises a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the boat, insomuch that the boat was now filling.38 And he himself was in the stern, asleep on the cushion: and they wake him, and say to him, Teacher, don't you care that we perish?39 And he awoke, and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.40 And he said to them, Why are you{} fearful? Have you{} not yet faith?41 And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?

25 And a woman, who had a discharge of blood twelve years,26 and had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and had not been getting better, but rather grew worse,27 having heard about Jesus, came in the crowd behind, and touched his garment.28 For she said, If I touch but his garments, I will be made whole.29 And immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of her plague.30 And immediately Jesus, perceiving in himself that the power [proceeding] from him had gone forth, turned him about in the crowd, and said, Who touched my garments?31 And his disciples said to him, You see the multitude thronging you, and you say, Who touched me?32 And he looked around to see her who had done this thing.33 But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what had been done to her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.34 And he said to her, Daughter, your faith has made you whole; go in peace, and be whole of your plague.

1 And they came to the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gerasenes.2 And when he came out of the boat, right away there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,3 who had his dwelling in the tombs: and no man could anymore bind him, no, not with a chain;4 because he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been rent apart by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: and no man had strength to tame him.5 And always, night and day, in the tombs and in the mountains, he was crying out, and cutting himself with stones.6 And when he saw Jesus from afar, he ran and worshiped him;7 and crying out with a loud voice, he says, What have I to do with you, Jesus, you Son of the Most High God? I adjure you by God, don't torment me.8 For he said to him, Come forth, you unclean spirit, out of the man.9 And he asked him, What is your name? And he says to him, My name is Legion; for we are many.10 And he implored him much that he would not send them away out of the country.11 Now there was there on the mountain side a great herd of swine being shepherded.12 And they implored him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.13 And he gave them leave. And the unclean spirits came out, and entered into the swine: and the herd rushed down the steep into the sea, [in number] about two thousand; and they were drowned in the sea.14 And those who shepherded them fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they came to see what it was that had come to pass.15 And they come to Jesus, and look at him who was possessed with demons sitting, clothed and in his right mind, [even] him who had the legion: and they were afraid.16 And those who saw it declared to them how it befell him who was possessed with demons, and concerning the swine.17 And they began to urge him to depart from their borders.18 And as he was entering into the boat, he who had been possessed with demons implored him that he might be with him.19 And he did not allow him, but says to him, Go to your house to your friends, and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and [how] he had mercy on you.20 And he went his way, and began to publish in Decapolis how much Jesus had done for him: and all men marveled.

The child is not dead, but sleeps.40 And they laughed him to scorn. But he, having put them all forth, takes the father of the child and her mother and those who were with him, and goes in where the child was.41 And taking the child by the hand, he says to her, Talitha koum; which is, being interpreted, Girl, I say to you, Arise.42 And immediately the girl rose up, and walked; for she was twelve years old. And they were amazed immediately with a great amazement.43 And he charged them much that no man should know this: and he commanded that [something] should be given her to eat.

22 yes, Father, for so it was well-pleasing in your sight.23 All things have been delivered to me of my Father: and no one knows the Son, except the Father; neither does any know the Father, except the Son, and he to whomever the Son wills to reveal [him.]24 And turning to the disciples, he said, Blessed [are] the eyes which see the things that you{} see; and the ears which hear the things that you{} hear.25 For truly I say to you{}, that many prophets and righteous men desired to see the things which you{} see, and did not see them; and to hear the things which you{} hear, and did not hear them.26 And it came to pass, as he was praying in a certain place, that when he ceased, one of his disciples said to him, Lord, teach us to pray, even as John also taught his disciples.27 And he said to them, When you{} pray, say,28 Father, Hallowed be your name.29 Your kingdom come.30 Give us this day our daily bread.31 And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.32 And don't bring us into temptation.33 And I say to you{}, Ask, and it will be given to you{}; Seek, and you{} will find; Knock, and it will be opened to you{}:

1 And when he entered again into Capernaum after some days, it was heard that he was at home.2 And many were gathered together, so that there was no longer room [for them], no, not even about the door: and he spoke the word to them.3 And they come, bringing to him a man sick of the palsy, borne of four.4 And not being able to bring [the man] to him because of the crowd, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed on which the sick of the palsy lay.5 And Jesus seeing their faith says to the sick of the palsy, Child, your sins are forgiven.6 But there were certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts,7 Why does this man thus speak? He blasphemes. Who can forgive sins but one, God?8 And immediately Jesus, perceiving in his spirit that they so reasoned to themselves, says to them, Why do you{} reason these things in your{} hearts?9 Which is easier, to say to the sick of the palsy, Your sins are forgiven; or to say, Arise, and take up your bed, and walk?10 But that you{} may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins--he says to the sick of the palsy:11 I say to you, Arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.12 And he arose, and immediately took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.

1 Now a certain man was sick, Lazarus of Bethany, of the village of Mary and her sister Martha.2 And it was that Mary who anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.3 The sisters therefore sent to him, saying, Lord, look, he whom you love is sick.4 But when Jesus heard it, he said, This sickness is not to death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified by it.5 Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.6 When therefore he heard that he was sick, he stayed at that time two days in the place where he was.7 Then after this he says to the disciples, Let us go into Judea again.8 The disciples say to him, Rabbi, the Jews were but now seeking to stone you; and do you go there again?9 Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If a man walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world.10 But if a man walks in the night, he stumbles, because the light is not in him.11 These things he spoke: and after this he says to them, Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.12 The disciples therefore said to him, Lord, if he has fallen asleep, he will recover.13 Now Jesus had spoken of his death: but they thought that he spoke of taking rest in sleep.14 Then Jesus therefore said to them plainly, Lazarus is dead.15 And I am glad for your{} sakes that I was not there, to the intent you{} may believe; nevertheless let us go to him.16 Thomas therefore, who is called Didymus, said to his fellow-disciples, Let us also go, that we may die with him.17 So when Jesus came, he found that he had been in the tomb four days already.18 Now Bethany was near to Jerusalem, about two miles away;19 and many of the Jews had come to Martha and Mary, to console them concerning their brother.20 Martha therefore, when she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met him: but Mary still sat in the house.21 Martha therefore said to Jesus, Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.22 And even now I know that, whatever you will ask of God, God will give you.23 Jesus says to her, Your brother will rise again.24 Martha says to him, I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.25 Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he who believes on me, though he dies, yet he will live;26 and whoever lives and believes on me will never die. Do you believe this?27 She says to him, Yes, Lord: I have believed that you are the Christ, the Son of God, [even] he who comes into the world.28 And when she had said this, she went away, and called Mary her sister secretly, saying, The Teacher is here, and calls you.29 And she, when she heard it, arose quickly, and went to him.30 (Now Jesus had not yet come into the village, but was still in the place where Martha met him.)31 The Jews then who were with her in the house, and were consoling her, when they saw Mary, that she rose up quickly and went out, followed her, supposing that she was going to the tomb to weep there.32 Mary therefore, when she came where Jesus was, and saw him, fell down at his feet, saying to him, Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.33 When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews [also] weeping who came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled,34 and said, Where have you{} laid him? They say to him, Lord, come and see.35 Jesus wept.36 The Jews therefore said, Look at how he loved him!37 But some of them said, Could not this man, who opened the eyes of him who was blind, have caused that this man also should not die?38 Jesus therefore again groaning in himself comes to the tomb. Now it was a cave, and a stone lay against it.39 Jesus says, Take{} away the stone. Martha, the sister of him who was dead, says to him, Lord, by this time the body decays; for he has been [dead] four days.40 Jesus says to her, Did I not say to you, that, if you believed, you should see the glory of God?41 So they took away the stone. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank you that you heard me.42 And I knew that you hear me always: but because of the multitude that stands around I said it, that they may believe that you sent me.43 And when he had thus spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.44 He who was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with grave-clothes; and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus says to them, Loose him, and let him go.
