12 For *there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for *the same Lord over all *is rich to all who call upon Him. 13 For *"whoever calls *on the name of the Lord shall be saved."

Israel Rejects the Gospel

14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear *without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written:

*"How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace,

Who bring glad tidings of good things!"

16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, *"Lord, who has believed our report?" 17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

2 This only I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, *or by the hearing of faith?

13 In Him you also trusted, after you heard *the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, *you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14 *who is the guarantee of our inheritance *until the redemption of *the purchased possession, *to the praise of His glory.

Life and Judgment Are Through the Son

24 "Most assuredly, I say to you, *he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, *but has passed from death into life.

25 Most assuredly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, when *the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear will live.

44 *No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me *draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day.45 It is written in the prophets, *‘And they shall all be taught by God.’*Therefore everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to Me.46 *Not that anyone has seen the Father, *except He who is from God; He has seen the Father.47 Most assuredly, I say to you, *he who believes in Me has everlasting life.

28 But He said, *"More than that, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it!"

23 *If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear."

15 *And He said to them, "Go into all the world *and preach the gospel to every creature.

14 And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says:

*‘Hearing you will hear and shall not understand,

And seeing you will see and not *perceive;

15 For the hearts of this people have grown dull.

Theirears *are hard of hearing,

And their eyes they have *closed,

Lest they should see withtheireyes and hear withtheirears,

Lest they should understand withtheirhearts and turn,

So that I should*heal them.’

16 But *blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear;

10 *When He had called the multitude to Himself, He said to them, "Hear and understand:

3 Incline your ear, and *come to Me.

Hear, and your soul shall live;

*And I will make an everlasting covenant with you—

The *sure mercies of David.

9 And He said, "Go, and *tell this people:

‘Keep on hearing, but do not understand;

Keep on seeing, but do not perceive.’

10 "Make *the heart of this people dull,

And their ears heavy,

And shut their eyes;

*Lest they see with their eyes,

And hear with their ears,

And understand with their heart,

And return and be healed."
