A última palavra vem do Senhor

1 The reflections of the heart belong to mankind,

but the answer of the tongue is from the  Lord.  *

4 The Lord has prepared everything for his purpose —

even the wicked for the day of disaster.  *

19 God is not a man, that he might lie,

or a son of man, that he might change his mind.  *

Does he speak and not act,

or promise and not fulfill?  *

23 The Lord answered Moses, "Is the Lord’s arm weak?  *,* Now you will see whether or not what I have promised will happen to you."

11 so my word that comes from my mouth

will not return to me empty,

but it will accomplish what I please

and will prosper in what I send it to do."  *

27 "Look, I am the Lord, the God over every creature.  * Is anything too difficult for me?  *

and no plan of yours can be thwarted.  *

in heaven and on earth,

35 Heaven and earth will pass away,*but my words will never pass away.*

8 Yes, it is coming, and it will happen. This is the declaration of the Lord God. This is the day I have spoken about.

14 Yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring — what your life will be! For you are like vapor that appears for a little while, then vanishes.  *

15 Instead, you should say, "If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that."
