3 Children are a heritage from the LORD, offspring a reward from him.4 Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one's youth.5 Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their opponents in court.

1 Praise the LORD, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name.2 Praise the LORD, my soul, and forget not all his benefits —

4 We will not hide them from their descendants; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the LORD, his power, and the wonders he has done.

6 Children's children are a crown to the aged, and parents are the pride of their children.

27 I prayed for this child, and the LORD has granted me what I asked of him.

3 I thank my God every time I remember you.

9 How can we thank God enough for you in return for all the joy we have in the presence of our God because of you?

28 Ascribe to the LORD, all you families of nations, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.

17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

16 Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given.

14 The women said to Naomi: "Praise be to the LORD, who this day has not left you without a guardian-redeemer. May he become famous throughout Israel!15 He will renew your life and sustain you in your old age. For your daughter-in-law, who loves you and who is better to you than seven sons, has given him birth."

19 The living, the living —they praise you, as I am doing today; parents tell their children about your faithfulness.
