O amigo verdadeiro é dádiva rara de Deus. Ele ama em todo tempo, fala a verdade em amor, aconselha com sabedoria e permanece fiel nas adversidades da vida.
Amizade verdadeira
Há amigo mais chegado que um irmão. Em todo tempo ama o amigo. O perfume e o incenso alegram o coração — assim o conselho doce do amigo.
24 A man having
17 At all times, doth a friend love, and, a brother for distress, must be born.
9 Oil and perfume, rejoice the heart, the sweetness of ones friend, more than fragrant wood.

Jesus, o amigo
Já não vos chamo servos, mas amigos. O maior amor é dar a vida pelo amigo. Jesus é o amigo que nunca falha.
13 Greater love than this, hath, no one, That, his life, one should lay down in behalf of his friends.14 Ye, are, friends of mine, if ye be doing that which, I, am commanding you.15 No longer, do I call you, servants, for, the servant, knoweth not what, his lord, is doing. But, you, I have called, friends, because, all things which I heard from my Father, made I known unto you.
12 This, is my own commandment, That ye be loving one another, just as I loved you.13 Greater love than this, hath, no one, That, his life, one should lay down in behalf of his friends.
11 Beloved! If, in this way, God, loved us, we also, ought to love, one another.12 Upon God, hath no one, at any time, gazed: If we love one another, God, in us, abideth, and, his love, hath been perfected within us.
16 Hereby, have we come to understand love: in that, He, for us, his life laid down; and, we, ought, for the brethren, our lives to lay down.17 But, whoso hath this worlds goods, and beholdeth his brother having, need, and shutteth up his tender affections from him, how, is, the love of God, abiding in him?18 Dear children! Let us not be loving in word, nor yet with the tongue, but in deed and truth.
23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saithAnd Abraham believed God, And it was reckoned to him as righteousness, and, Gods friend, was he called:
10 In your brotherly love, unto one another, being tenderly affectioned, in honour, unto one another, giving preference;
