Amigo
O amigo verdadeiro é dádiva rara de Deus. Ele ama em todo tempo, fala a verdade em amor, aconselha com sabedoria e permanece fiel nas adversidades da vida.
Amizade verdadeira
Há amigo mais chegado que um irmão. Em todo tempo ama o amigo. O perfume e o incenso alegram o coração — assim o conselho doce do amigo.
Jesus, o amigo
Já não vos chamo servos, mas amigos. O maior amor é dar a vida pelo amigo. Jesus é o amigo que nunca falha.
13 No one hath greater love than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. I no longer call you servants,15 for the servant knoweth not what his lord doth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard from my Father, I have made known to you.
12 This is my commandment, that ye love one another, as I have loved you.13 No one hath greater love than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abideth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.17 But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?18 My beloved children, let us love not in word, neither in tongue, but in deed and in truth.
23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed to him for righteousness: and he was called the friend of God.
10 In brotherly love be full of tender affection toward each other, in honour preferring one another:
