16 *For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten *Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

8 But *God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor *principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

3 The Lord has appeared of old to me, saying:

"Yes, *I have loved you with *an everlasting love;

Therefore with lovingkindness I have *drawn you.

Thanksgiving to God for His Enduring Mercy

1 Oh, *give thanks to the Lord, for Heis good!

*For His mercy endures forever.

8 *The Lordis merciful and gracious,

Slow to anger, and abounding in mercy.

15 But *You, O Lord, are a God full of compassion, and gracious,

Longsuffering and abundant in mercy and truth.

3 *Because Your lovingkindness is better than life,

My lips shall praise You.

Knowing God Through Love

7 *Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who *loves is born of God and knows God. 8 He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.

9 *In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten *Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 10 In this is love, *not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son *tobe the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, *if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

16 And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and *he who abides in love abides in God, and God *in him.

19 *We love Him because He first loved us.

1 Behold *what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that *we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, *because it did not know Him.

7 Brethren, I write no new commandment to you, but an old commandment which you have had *from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which you heard from the beginning. 8 Again, *a new commandment I write to you, which thing is true in Him and in you, *because the darkness is passing away, and *the true light is already shining.

3 *For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And *His commandments are not burdensome.

4 *Love suffers long and is *kind; love *does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;

17 The Lord your God *in your midst,

The Mighty One, will save;

*He will rejoice over you with gladness,

He will quiet you with His love,

He will rejoice over you with singing."

17 *I love those who love me,

And *those who seek me diligently will find me.

4 Since you were precious in My sight,

You have been honored,

And I have *loved you;

Therefore I will give men for you,

And people for your life.

9 We have thought, O God, on *Your lovingkindness,

In the midst of Your temple.

10 Oh, continue Your lovingkindness to those who know You,

And Your righteousness to the upright in heart.

20 I have been *crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh *I live by faith in the Son of God, *who loved me and gave Himself for me.

4 But God, *who is rich in mercy, because of His *great love with which He loved us, 5 *even when we were dead in trespasses, *made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),

14 *The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and *the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.

5 Now may *the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the patience of Christ.
