34 So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other.35 Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples."

12 This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you.

13 There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.

11 This is the message you have heard from the beginning: We should love one another.

14 If we love our brothers and sisters who are believers,* it proves that we have passed from death to life. But a person who has no love is still dead.

16 We know what real love is because Jesus gave up his life for us. So we also ought to give up our lives for our brothers and sisters. 17 If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister* in need but shows no compassion—how can God’s love be in that person?

18 Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions.

7 Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God.

10 This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.

11 Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other. 12 No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us.

20 If someone says, "I love God," but hates a fellow believer,* that person is a liar; for if we don’t love people we can see, how can we love God, whom we cannot see? 21 And he has given us this command: Those who love God must also love their fellow believers.*

10 Love each other with genuine affection,* and take delight in honoring each other.

8 Owe nothing to anyone—except for your obligation to love one another. If you love your neighbor, you will fulfill the requirements of God’s law.

8 Finally, all of you should be of one mind. Sympathize with each other. Love each other as brothers and sisters.* Be tenderhearted, and keep a humble attitude.

8 Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins.

9 But we don’t need to write to you about the importance of loving each other,* for God himself has taught you to love one another.

1 Keep on loving each other as brothers and sisters.*2 Don’t forget to show hospitality to strangers, for some who have done this have entertained angels without realizing it! 3 Remember those in prison, as if you were there yourself. Remember also those being mistreated, as if you felt their pain in your own bodies.

14 Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony.

37 Jesus replied, "‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’*38 This is the first and greatest commandment.39 A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’*

8 Yes indeed, it is good when you obey the royal law as found in the Scriptures: "Love your neighbor as yourself."*
