23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

35 Who shall separate us from the love (o. agape) of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

16 Hereby perceive we the love (o. agape) of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

4 Love (o. agape) suffers long, and is kind; love (o. agape) envies not; love (o. agape) vaunts not itself, is not puffed up,5 Does not behave itself unseemly, seeks not her own, is not easily provoked, thinks no evil;

6 Rejoices not in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;7 Bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

43 All of you have heard that it has been said, You shall love your neighbour, and hate yours enemy.44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;45 That all of you may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he makes his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.46 For if all of you love them which love you, what reward have all of you? do not even the publicans the same?47 And if all of you salute your brethren only, what do all of you more than others? do not even the publicans so?48 Be all of you therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

27 But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.

8 And above all things have fervent love (o. agape) among yourselves: for love (o. agape) shall cover the multitude of sins.
